TEACHERS 






JENNIFER AMOR is 
a natural teacher.  She has been teaching since she could remember, whatever she learns she passes along to anyone who is willing to learn themselves.  She has been an instructor with the City of Toronto for over 10 years, teaching skating, preschool, fitness, sports and Yoga.  Jennifer has always loved sports and participated in almost every sport since her elementary school days; both team and individual sports such as volleyball and distance running.  During university Jennifer started to find what is most important to her.  She fell in love with teaching fitness classes and learning about the body and mind; she was also introduced to Yoga for the first time.  Graduating from University of Toronto with her BSc. in Neuroscience and Psychology, Jennifer has applied what she has learned in her education to everyday life.  Right after university she dove right in to the fitness industry, teaching group classes as a Certified Fitness Instructor and became a Certified Personal Trainer.  Jennifer has participated in the World X-treme Fitness Pre-competition held at University of Toronto, Scarborough in May 2005; ran her first Nike 10 k in May 2005; participated in her first dragon boat races in July 2009; ran her first half-marathon in October 2009.  She loves trying new things and participating in group sport activities.  It was her love of continuously moving and trying new things, which allowed her to stumble upon Yoga.  In 2005, Jennifer came across a knee injury, therefore was unable to teach high-impact aerobics and was forced to slow down her busy life.  It was during this time where she took her time to learn more about Yoga and became a Registered Yoga Instructor (RYT) with East to West Yoga and Pilates.  Since Jennifer saw a lot of herself in her instructor (Susie Dias) she became more confident in taking her yoga classes to a deeper level and sharing it with her students.  Not too long after, Jennifer participated in a young entrepreneurial business course where she had the pleasure of being mentored and coached by Flavian Delima, who inspired her to go forward with her business. She started Amor Healthy Lifestyle in 2006, and now has a clear understanding to where she wants to take her the business and what is most important in her life.  Jennifer enjoys reading and learning, she believes that people grow every day, and embraces change whole-heartedly.  She is always up for new adventures, ideas, loves a great challenge and business.  She balances teaching yoga, investing and selling real estate, and having fun with her family and friends.  Practicing Yoga helps Jennifer understand what is most important to her, and this is why she loves to share Yoga with everyone she meets.
